The Tallest Peak in New Zealand - Mount Cook

Aoraki Mount Cook is the tallest mountain in New Zealand. It is a popular tourist spot and famous with a milky coloured lake  - The terminal of the Tasman Glacier.
Attractions: Hooker Valley Track, Icebergs on the lake

Getting there: South of Christchurch (2.5 hours drive) / North of Queenstown (2.5 drive)

Visited Mount Cook during the winter, the snow capped mountain view is very impressive. There is still snow on the walk way, could be slippy and have to be extra careful. The track took about 4 hours return, the lake was frozen and the view is really spectacular!
